The Gallery of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SANU), opened in 1968, serves as a vital public window into the Academy’s cultural contributions. Housed in the impressive SANU building, constructed in 1924 in academic style with Art Nouveau elements, the gallery has organized over 240 exhibitions to date. Under the initial direction of Academician Aleksandar Despić until 2005, the space has showcased significant artistic achievements connected to the Academy’s work.
